Symphony Sunday

I host Symphony Sunday on WDRT FM 91.9 in Viroqua, WI once a month programming classical recordings with an emphasis on contemporary music. My segment, TheComposerStuido on the Air features performances and recordings of performers that collaborate with living composers. I often include new recordings and recordings of local chamber music performances in the Driftless region highlighted with interviews and in-studio performances. Some of my recent interviews have included the American composer, George Crumb, conductors, Alexander Platt, William Intrilligator, architect, Roald Gunderson, and clarinetist, Corey Mackey. And of course, I will be previewing the programs of the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra and the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra.

From my interviews with American composer, George Crumb about his American Song Book series:

From the August 11th, 2019 program:

I attended a chamber music rehearsal and learn so much about making music at this focused level of music-making.
